Parky Communications was founded in 2019 to give corporate communicators a reliable, affordable option for freelance communications services. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, we offer comprehensive communications services, including writing, video, and voiceover services. When it comes to writing, we specialize in sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) communications and reporting. From clean copy and informed thought leadership to modern storytelling across all mediums, we get your message out and make your stakeholders pay attention. We pride ourselves on being flexible enough to cater to the rapidly changing corporate environment.
We have 15 years’ experience in business communications, including annual and sustainability reporting, research, executive communications, internal communications, business journalism, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, script writing, and video production and editing.

Principal
Alex Parkinson
Alex founded Parky Communications in 2019. He previously served as a Senior Researcher for The Conference Board, specializing in corporate citizenship and philanthropy, and corporate communications. In this role, he was Executive Editor of the organization’s corporate citizenship and philanthropy, and marketing and communications publications. He is the author of more than ten publications focused on both corporate citizenship and corporate communications (see below). Alex led the integration of the Society for New Communications Research (SNCR) and The Conference Board when the two organizations merged in February 2016.
Before joining The Conference Board, Alex worked as a senior consultant in London and New York for sustainability communications and reporting agency Context. He has advised some of the world’s leading multinationals on CSR communications and strategy development. His clients included Brown-Forman, BSkyB, Burt’s Bees, Cisco, HP, International Paper, PepsiCo, Roche, Standard Chartered, Syngenta, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Vodafone.
After graduating from the University of Bath, United Kingdom, in 2005 with a BSc (hons) in Economics and International Development, Alex worked as a reporter and sub-editor for VRL KnowledgeBank and Vitesse Media in London.
Alex is also an accomplished comedy writer, actor, voice actor, director, and producer. He has written and directed dozens of sketch comedy films, available on YouTube, including the award-winning short MAMILs (now being developed as the feature film Ride or Die). He created and starred in the web series Julian Assange’s Embassy Suite, a parody of the Wikileaks’ founder’s time in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. Alex has co-written multiple full-length live sketch revues, and he performs sketch comedy regularly. He is represented by Brilliant Talent Management, as well as Houghton Talent, Inc in the southeast, and AB2 Talent and Lori Lins for voice.
